Silipa Keresi Wiki – Arrest, Investigation
A woman was charged with murder after a newborn baby was found dead in a wooded area. The baby boy, who is said to have been born ‘recently’, was found in Hythe, Hampshire, on March 5 last year. Although Silipa Keresi, 37, was arrested that month, she was released on bail while the investigations continued. However, the police confirmed today that She was charged with murder.
She was arrested a second time over the weekend in connection with the death. A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “Detectives arrested her again over the weekend and, on the advice of the Crown Prosecutor’s Office, they now accuse her of murder.” She will appear today at the Southampton Magistrate’s Court.
The baby was originally found wrapped in a white towel by a dog walker just after 2pm, near Shore Road, about 200 meters from a sailing club. Officers conducted door-to-door investigations and used sniffing dogs to probe the woodland. They had previously appealed for the child’s mother to be revealed.
