Scott Miller, a former Australian Olympic swimmer allegedly involved in “iced” drugs worth more than $ 2 million by Scott Miller who won a medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, was arrested in connection with a drug syndicate for allegedly smuggling illicit candles.
Detectives launched an investigation earlier this year into “a criminal organization involved in the supply of banned drugs – specifically methylamphetamine (ice)”, according to a statement released by the New South Wales Police Force on Tuesday. Police said the drugs were worth more than $ 2 million.
After executing the search warrant, the authorities found “about one kilogram of heroin with a market value of $ 250,000, over $ 75,000 in cash, cell phones, documents, encrypted electronic devices, and a smaller amount of prohibited drugs.”
The police did not reveal the identity of the suspects in the press release, but said they had arrested a 45-year-old “Rozelle man” and another 47-year-old man. Multiple organizations reported that Miller was a 45-year-old suspect. According to Nine News, she was released on bail and is expected to appear in court in April.
