Dakar Rally driver Pierre Cherpin died from injuries sustained in the crash that occurred on January 10, race organizers said on Friday.

Cherpin was racing on the seventh stage of the iconic rally from Ha’il to Sakaka in Saudi Arabia, where it fell from 178 kilometers.
