Lattimore’s lawyer, Marcus Sidoti, said the arrest was a “misunderstanding”.

Cleveland police spokesperson Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia confirmed the arrest hours after cleveland.com/The Plain Dealer reported Lattimore’s arrest.

Ciaccia said in an email that police stopped the Lattimore vehicle and the other three were found on East 97th Street and Carr Avenue for “multiple traffic violations”. Officers arrested three other people in the car on gun charges and showed the driver for driving the headlights without working.

Ciaccia said there was no further information available about the arrest.
