A mother and daughter, who had trouble breathing while fighting Covid-19, held hands for the last time from the intensive care beds.

Anabel Sharma watched helplessly as her mother Maria died while fighting Covid-19 in the hospital ward.

The 49-year-old was at his mother’s hospital, aged 76, because he was in the same ward and also struggled with the coronavirus.

During the dreadful incident, the doctors reported Mirror to give a final farewell to Anabel and her sister Susana, who was allowed to enter the unit with full PPE, by allowing Maria Rico to remove her oxygen mask.

Now forced to watch a live stream of her mother’s funeral from Whitwick, Leicestershire, Anabel made an emotional call to people to follow Covid-19 rules to stop the spread of the virus. Don’t let this happen to you,” she pleaded. The speed at which Covid shook our family was frightening. Anyone can get it and whether you survive is roulette.

“If someone is thinking of breaking the rules, I would like to put them in my place for a moment and be told what it would be like to watch your mother die, or to be told you cannot live.

“We were very careful about what we did because my mother was living with us. We brought food and I just ran the school. I never thought Covid would hit us, but it did. And it could be any. ”

In her last moments, Maria took off her oxygen mask from her face, so she could bid farewell to Anabel and her sister Susana, who were allowed into the ward with full PPE.

Maria was the last family of Anabel’s 12-year-old son Isaac, who fell ill after signing a contract with Covid following his September return to school.

Maria, Anabel, her husband Bharat, an account manager, and two other sons, 22-year-old Jacob and 10-year-old Noah, fell ill within days.

The mother and daughter were taken to the Leicester Royal Hospital in mid-October and placed in oxygen several beds away from each other.

Two weeks later, the doctors brought Maria’s bed next to her daughter, whose grandmother announced that she had signed a Resurrection order. My mom was trying to talk to me, but the inside of the hood is so loud I couldn’t hear it,” Anabel said. All I heard was the words” burning “and” ready to die. “I was crying, but my mother was very brave. I asked the doctors to take this picture of us, then they took my mother to the bay.”

The next day, the doctors told Anabel that Maria could not live long and took her to her mother’s bedside. Anabel, an enthusiastic kickboxer with severe lung damage and who now has to rely on oxygen, said, “My mom said she was proud of us, loved us and was ready to go.

The nurses gave my mother medicine to make it more comfortable, and then my mother passed away.” Anabel spent another three weeks in intensive care before being transferred to a recovery ward where she had to watch her mother’s funeral live.

It was horrible, ”he said. I felt so lonely. Every day I would ask the doctors if I was going to die, and they would tell me they didn’t know. I kept thinking about my three sons and how they would cope without me.”
