Kennedy’s latest incident in a Texas drainage pipe comes just weeks after firefighters pulled him naked through an eight-foot-deep storm drain in Delray Beach, Florida.
According to the police report, Kennedy said she was stranded for 20 days after she decided to explore the tunnel when she went swimming in a canal near her boyfriend’s house.
Kennedy said She had been wandering around the sewer system for about three weeks before seeing some light in the rain gutter and settled there because he could see people walking on it.
In the Delray Beach case, Kennedy had been missing for three weeks before he was found.
Delray Beach Fire and Rescue posted photos of firefighters pulling Kennedy out of the sewer using a harness and ladder. The photographs showed Kennedy, who was covered mostly with white sheets due to her lack of clothing, dirty, with leaves in her hair and too weak to stand. she was taken to Delray Medical Center for treatment of minor cuts and bruises. Kennedy also underwent a mental health assessment after recording her mother’s story.
At the time, Delray Beach Fire Rescue spokesperson Dani Moschella said Kennedy was lucky to be alive.
“I don’t know how much better it would have been there,” said Moschella.
‘The idea that someone could be there for any length of time is troubling. It’s nasty, it’s dangerous, there’s snakes, rats, garbage, scum and leaves, everything in the street that runs down the drain and it stinks.
Moschella noted that the drain hole was too small for Kennedy to squeeze through the pavement.
“Firefighters go to a lot of evacuation calls,” Moschella said.
“We’re rescuing ducklings, kittens, and puppies, and this is the first time anyone remembers they’ve actually seen a human down there.”
