According to CNBC, Taylor’s family made a statement confirming the cause of her death.
“Taylor died of suicide after a battle with symptoms associated with post-Covid-19, including severe tinnitus,” he said in a statement describing the ringing in the family’s ear. “After a battle with symptoms associated with post-Covid, including severe tinnitus, Kent Taylor took his own life this week,” said the family. “Kent fought like the former track champion and fought a lot, but the pain, which has intensified greatly in recent days, has become unbearable.”

Texas Roadhouse announced in a press release that Taylor died on March 18, 2021. In the statement, “Texas Roadhouse, Inc. today announced the death of its founder and CEO Kent Taylor, ”he says. Chief Director Greg Moore made the following statement on behalf of the Board: “We are very sorry for the loss of Kent Taylor. The newsletter says that Kent Taylor “founded Texas Roadhouse in 1993, and most recently held various positions, including Chairman of the Board and CEO.”
On March 19, the company announced that it had replaced Taylor: Chairman Jerry Morgan.
