The Lubbock Police Department wrote on Twitter, “We want to express our deepest sympathy for the Sherriff Department of Concho County after the loss of two of his deputies on Monday evening.

Lubbock Police shared the details of the route and asked the public to “raise both the bloody and blue families of these two heroes to their feet.”

“When a police officer is killed, it’s not an organization that loses an officer, it’s a whole nation,” wrote Chris Cosgriff, Founder of Officer Down Memorial Page on his website.
“Please pray for the families and friends of the two Concho County Deputies who were shot dead while on duty last night,” said the National Police Service on Twitter. “Our thoughts and prayers are in the Concho County Sheriff’s Office.”
