Miami Airport Brawl Over Airplane Seats Caught on Video

The big fight over open seats on the plane at Miami Airport was caught on video that led to the arrest of one person. After learning that the passengers did not have enough waiting seats on the plane, the fight broke out at the door.

Documentary filmmaker Billy Corben posted the video of the big fight that broke out outside of Urban Decay on Twitter. You can watch the video here or later in this article. The Miami-Dade Police wrote to the arrest records that the fight broke out around 14:00 at Gate D12 at Miami International Airport. Eastern time is Sunday, April 25, 2021.

Police told Local 10 News that the Miami-Dade police responded to the scene, but that no victim was interested in pursuing the charges. A person identified as Jameel Tremain Decquir, 20, from Chicago, Illinois, was arrested for irregular behavior.

Police identified three other suspects released during the report.

The victim did not want to make any accusations. However, one person was arrested for erratic behavior, ”Miami-Dade Police told the Miami Herald in an email. “The victim was treated for minor injuries by the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and released at the scene.” Decquir’s arrest report said he and three others were waiting to board an American Airlines flight to Chicago. A porter told them that there were only three spare seats, and the group started fighting with the other three people who were also on the counter.

Bystander Video Helps Police Identify Suspects Involved in Fights

Police claimed in court documents the fight that began when Decquir punched one of the victims in the face as the victim walked away from the counter. The fight split into two separate groups of four suspects and three victims, as police say.

Police said a suspect had repeatedly kicked and punched him. Police said the victims did not know how the fight started. One of the victims was injured by having the inside of the mouth amputated. The victim did not seek further medical treatment.

According to court documents, Decquir was charged with disrupting American Airlines and airport operations. The victims were slightly injured. The other three suspects were identified as Gewone Ross, 24, Terrell Barnes, 25, and Deante Jones, 23 in Dequir’s arrest record. No charges were made against the other three suspects. Police wrote that the four men were “clearly the primary attackers”. Police wrote that the video helped police detect Dequir.
