Jalajhia Finklea Wiki
A medical doctor determined that 18-year-old Jalajhia Finklea from Massachusetts, whose body is located off Interstate 95, died from bullet wounds.
In November, the abducted suspect was shot in Crestview.
She was last seen on October 20, entering a car rented from Boston airport by 37-year-old Luis Zaragoza, whom police said he kidnapped and later killed, according to the Bristol County District Attorney. According to a report, on November 5, Crestview was shot and killed by law enforcement officers in Zaragoza at McDonald’s, after officials told the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office that he had fired on law enforcement officers and US Marshals Service agents on the allegation of kidnapping Finklea’s disappearance.
According to the medical official’s report, an autopsy at the District 19 Medical Examination Office in Fort Pierce showed that Finklea had been shot in the head twice.
Chief Health Inspector Patricia Aronica ordered the murder of Finklea’s death. On November 25, crime scene investigators from the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office rescued remains found in the countryside off I-95 near Finklea’s District Road 512.
Sheriff Eric Flowers said the remains are thought to have been found anywhere from 20 to 30 days.
Aronica conducted the autopsy on 27 November and, according to medical records, signed the report on 8 January.
In a press release dated December 4, the Bristol County District Attorney in New Bedford stated that the body was identified as Finklea.
The statement also stated that Florida and Massachusetts state police found details about what happened on 20 October on Zaragoza’s phone.
