A North Texas man was arrested on federal charges, which federal officials said he had made numerous posts on social media about joining the United States Capital uprising on January 6.
Garret Miller, 34, affiliated with Richardson, was arrested Wednesday for the charges of deliberately entering or staying in any restricted building or ground without legal jurisdiction, violent entry and irregular conduct on the grounds of the Capitol, blocking or obstructing any official trial and certain acts during civil unrest.
Two days after the riot, law enforcement sent information to the FBI about a tweet from a Twitter account identified as Miller’s. The tweet included a 14-second video posted at 18:56 from inside the US Capital rotunda.
