He was an American television expert and writer who was the founder and apostle of the Crenshaw Christian Center (CCC) in southern Los Angeles, California. He was known for broadcasting Continuously Increasing Faith ministries, which were broadcast weekly on both television and radio. Price was born in 1932 in the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Monica, California, the eldest son of Winifred and Frederick Price, Sr., who owns a cleaning service in West Los Angeles. Frederick attended McKinley Elementary School, Foshay Middle School, Craft High School in Santa Monica and Dorsey High School in Los Angeles, and then completed his two-year studies at Los Angeles City College. He later received an honorary degree from the Rhema Biblical Education Center (1976) and an honorary Doctor of Theology from Oral Roberts University (1982).
Both of his parents, who had once practiced Jehovah’s Witnesses when he met his future wife, Betty, gave up religious practice and were also outspoken towards all organized religions. While courting with her high school sweetheart Betty, she began attending church services with her. But after their marriage, she stopped attending church regularly until a group of churches in the Los Angeles area began sponsoring one-week old-fashioned tent reenactments in the Crenshaw area. Price started attending these services with his wife. In one of these services he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior. Shortly after he was reborn, Price felt God’s call to go to the ministry, mostly serving part-time, working as a chaplain at a Baptist church from 1955 to 1957. Church in Val Verde, California from 1957 to 1959. From there he served in a Presbyterian church and then joined the Christian and Missionary Alliance at West Washington Community Church in 1965.

Price died of COVID-19 complications at the age of 89 at a hospital in Los Angeles on February 12, 2021. The dear Los Angeles pastor Price, who founded the Crenshaw Christian Center, died at the age of 89, according to his son.
He was cited in tributes as “the best example of faith I have ever witnessed” and “the greatest faith teacher of the last 40 years”. According to CBS Los Angeles, Fred Price’s cause of death was COVID-19. Known for a publication called The Ever-Increasing Faith Ministries, Stephanie Bee wrote shortly before her death: “Our dear father Frederick K.C. Price, thank you all for your prayers, call messages, messages and love! My father is still in the hospital now… We are still standing for his complete recovery and restoration from the complications he has endured as a result of COVID-19. We will never give up on our father, and we will continue to pray, believe, stand, and seek a miracle for him. According to ABC 7, Price launched its powerful 28,000-member Christian Center in 1973. “It was one of America’s first Black great churches,” the TV channel reports, reaching 15 million people on television each week. According to ABC 7, her family has set up a Christian School in the Crenshaw Christian Center, which is currently a COVID-19 vaccine site.
