Rockford Police identified 37-year-old Duke Webb from Florida as a suspect in a mass shooting Saturday night at Don Carter Lanes bowling alley.
According to Rockford Chief of Police Dan O’Shea, the police were called to work at 4007 E State Street at 18:55. and the 911 call arrived within 1 minute. O’Shea said that Webb fired his gun inside and outside the building. Two guns were captured at the scene.

Three people were killed, including a 73 year old man, a 65 year old man, and a 69 year old man. O’Shea said the identities of the victims was being withheld until notification of next of kin.
3 people were injured in the clash. A 14-year-old man was shot in the face and was taken to the Madison hospital for treatment. A 16-year-old woman was shot in the shoulder, being treated at a local hospital and released. According to O’Shea, the two young people were there to buy food to eat out. A 62-year-old man has been shot multiple times and has had multiple surgeries and is said to be in critical condition.
Police said that Webb was still in the bowling alley when the officers arrived and the incident was caught on security cameras. Webb allegedly tried to conceal his identity before he was arrested, according to.
Officials said Webb was listed as an active duty in the US military.
Winnebago County State Attorney J. Hanley said Webb was charged with 3 First Degree Murder and 3 Attempted Murder.
O’Shea said he believed the shooting was “a completely random act”.
