Philadelphia police are trying to track down a suspect who killed a Dunkin’ Donuts store manager after robbing the store.

A black man approaches the store manager around 5:30 am as he is about to open the day. Saturday and start talking to him.

He is then seen grabbing her with his left hand, holding a pistol in his right hand and forcing the victim to walk through the door.
The footage is then split in two in a supply cabinet where the manager sits on a box with a cash drawer on his lap.  gives the man an undisclosed amount of money, the man puts it in the left pocket of his pants and checks his watch.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, the store manager was shot in the head at 5:51 am and was pronounced dead six minutes later when police arrived on the scene. According to the police report, the suspect fled the scene.

The victim was identified as Christine Lugo, 41, a mother of two and a grandmother with ‘a kind heart and a smile’.
“She was an angel, a mother to all of us,” Larry Evans, a store employee who attended a group of mourners outside the West Kensington store on Saturday to pay tribute to Lugo, told the Inquirer. “Whoever you are, he will give you the shirt on your back.”

Store goers also said that they always remember their orders.

“She was a special person,” Gilberto Melendez, a former colleague, told ABC News. ‘It’s crazy that someone comes in and takes someone’s life like it’s nothing.’

Dunkin’ Donuts company also said in a statement, “We are aware of the tragic incident that took place at Dunkin’ restaurant on Lehigh Street in Philadelphia. All of us at Dunkin are saddened to learn of the death of a restaurant manager, and our thoughts are shared with his family and friends.”

At the time of the robbery and murder, he was wearing a blue zipper hoodie sweater and gray cargo tracksuit with light gray New Balance sneakers, an analog watch on his right wrist, blue gloves, and a face mask.
