The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that Candace Chrzan was shot dead on Tuesday at around 8 pm, in the backyard of one of her home on Mount Zion with her friends.
Candace, a senior at Mount Zion High School in Jonesboro, is believed to have been targeting training while she was accidentally shot dead by one of the teenagers.

I struggled with words all day. My heart is shattered on this sweet girl.
You were crazy, surprising and unforgettable. I love you Candace, I’ll always be your grandmother. Her friend Susie Williams said: ‘My beautiful Candace went to be one of my angels until I saw her again. You got your wings too soon.
I remember when your mother told me she had you and you came into this world in your own bold style. Take good care of my angel babies until I embrace you again. I love you so much baby
Candace loved music according to her obituary and played clarinet in high school concerts and march groups.
She was athletic and enjoyed playing football and learning martial arts with her friends.
A GoFundMe page was created by her friend Susie Williams on behalf of Candace. ‘Candace was a beautiful 17-year-old girl who always had a smile on her face and love in her heart.
The District Attorney is now working with investigators to determine whether criminal charges are necessary.
