- Lawmakers Say Gym Customers Put Joe In A Corner After He Crashed From The Ceiling And Stopped His Leaving
Lawmakers responded to Onelife Fitness at 315 Garrisonville Road in Stafford around 01:15 on January 30, after receiving a phone call that a man had fallen from the ceiling in the women’s locker room. According to the Stafford County Sheriff’s department, the man now identified as Joe hit the ceiling and landed on a woman. First responders checked him at the scene, but he was not taken to the hospital. Lawmakers said Joe, who fell about 3 meters, was not injured.
Lawmakers said that after Joe fell into the locker room, he “cornered” him to prevent other gym members from leaving while waiting for law enforcement to arrive. It was not immediately clear how long Joe had been on the ceiling or whether he had performed this stunt before. Detectives interviewed Joe and was taken to Rappahannock District Prison just before 7pm, according to prisoner records. Lawmakers initially determined that Joe was a man in his 20s before revealing that Joe was actually 41.
Heavy spoke to a front desk employee at Onelife Fitness on the phone. He said the gymnasium is currently not commenting on the incident and that they cooperated with law enforcement as the investigation progressed. He led Heavy to his home office. We reached out to a company representative and asked if Joe was an employee or a gym member. We haven’t received any response yet.
