Bodies Of Three Men Found Wiki
34-year-old Carl McGrath, 39 Ross Ballantine, and 20-year-old Alan Minard were on board Nicola Faith when they left Conwy, North Wales, on January 27.
The bodies of three people were found in a fishing hunt that disappeared seven weeks ago. 34-year-old Carl McGrath, 39 Ross Ballantine, and 20-year-old Alan Minard were on board Nicola Faith when they left Conwy, North Wales, on January 27.
When the boat did not return, a large search was initiated, but was stopped two days after their disappearance when nothing was found.
On Monday, a North Wales Police spokesperson said the force was aware that the bodies of three people were found along the coastline off Wirral and Blackpool at the weekend.
The families of the three fishermen who disappeared were informed.
The police spokesperson said: “We have been in contact with our colleagues from both Merseyside and the Lancashire Police and are waiting for the results of the Ministry of Interior post-mortem examinations. The families of the missing crew members on board Nicola Faith have been informed. And continue to be supported by expert officers.”
More than £ 55,000 was raised on a JustGiving page set up by the families of the missing men to pay for a private search led by deep water rescue specialist David Mearns. Earlier this month, the Maritime Accident and Investigation Branch (MAIB) said the boat’s life raft was found by the Coast Guard off Kirkcudbrightshire in Scotland. After the disappearance of Carl McGrath’s sister, Lauren Hynes, she said: “My brothers (Carl McGrath) were supposed to arrive in the conwy area around 11pm, but 3 crew members Ross and Alan were on their boat.
“Our last meeting with them on the boat was at 21:30, then we tried to contact them again at 12:00, but we had no contact.
“We are currently working with the RNLI and the police.”
