Tonight, the Wiltshire Police released an image of Bethany after the official ID while investigation into the accident continues.
Three other teenagers were hospitalized after the collision at The Mead around 23:40. The 19-year-old male driver was seriously injured and was taken to the Southmead Hospital where he was staying.
The remaining two passengers – a 17-year-old girl and another 18-year-old girl – were seriously injured and taken to separate hospitals.
“There was a terrible accident and unfortunately my daughter passed away,” Bethany’s mother Tracie posted on Facebook.
DI Andrew Lemon of Wiltshire Police said: “First I want to start with my sincere condolences to Beth’s family and friends.
“We totally understand how devastating it must be for those affected by this tragic event, and of course we understand that people want to meet at the scene, show their respect and comfort each other.
“We want to make sure this is done safely and that we do not make the situation worse by spreading the virus, so please try to consider Covid restrictions and social distancing. We know this is a difficult and upsetting time, but we want people to do it socially to keep everyone safe. Try to remember the distance, the last thing we want our friends and family to get sick in the coming days.
“We thank the Westbury community for their current support and we want the family’s privacy to be respected.”
The Force said the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
