Archie Lyndhurst’s Wiki
Archie Lyndhurst, star of So Awkward and son of actor Nicholas Lyndhurst, died in Sept. 2020 at the age of 19
The family of Archie Lyndhurst, the star of the CBBC series So Awkward and son of British actor Nicholas Lyndhurst, revealed the cause of death.
In an emotional Instagram post, her mother Lucy shared that her son died in his sleep after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage.
“On September 22, our world was shattered, the damage he caused to him is completely irreparable. Archie has always been our everything and will always remain. Those who know us are aware of the catastrophic impact he has and will be with us for the rest. Archie was the most extraordinary magical person we have ever met. He wrote about his son, who died at the age of 19 last year.
“As his family, we could not be proud of everything he achieved in the short time he was given, and especially for the beautiful person he was,” he continued.
Archie’s mother shared that the family received the results of their son’s second autopsy shortly before Christmas.
“He died of an Intracerebral Hemorrhage caused by Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma / Leukemia. This is not Leukemia as we know it, but Acute in medical terms means fast,” he wrote, and assured us that the medical practitioner was “not”. Anything anyone can do as Archie shows no signs of illness. ”
According to Macmillan Cancer Support, acute lymphoblastic leukemia is a “rare cancer of blood cells that can cause symptoms very quickly”.
“Archie had a lot of bleeding in his brain, and Dr. went to great lengths to reassure us that he wouldn’t suffer any pain as he did in his sleep. The results made us think that such a thing could happen. It’s rare and only 800 people die from it a year.” continued. “Just days before he lives with the love of his life, Nethra celebrates his birthday early, as he will break away from his work commitments. Life is fragile, precious, and sometimes incredibly cruel.”
In a separate post, “Dear son, we love you forever and thank you every day for every good moment we have. We will always congratulate you. All our love.”
In addition to his work in CBBC’s So Awkward, Lyndhurst also voiced the video game Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward and played a younger version of Jack Whitehall’s character in the BBC comedy Bad Education.
News of his death was confirmed by the channel last October, which said the actor “died after a brief illness”.
“Lucy and I are deeply saddened and respectfully demand privacy,” Lyndhurst’s father, Nicholas, and his wife told PEOPLE at the time.
